Hibs were stung by the early goal and were fired up and started defending hard and it was fifteen minutes before Aberdeen managed another attempt from a Gauld long range effort which went over the bar. A couple of long balls forward tempted Wright and Ridgeway but Hib’s keeper Reid was out quickly to stop the threat.

Aberdeen continued to press from the restart and made it two seven minutes in from a Ridgeway corner which MARTIN met with her head and the ball trundled into the net.
Then controversy, following a stoppage after a clash of players. The game was restarted with a dropped ball and Murray stepped out of the way at the ref’s request to allow Hib’s Walkenshaw to play the ball back to the Don’s keeper. WALKENSHAW took aim and fired it high over Sangster to pull back a goal.
Aberdeen were incensed but settled back into the game and went two ahead 23 minutes in, Martin playing into WRIGHT who fired home. Campbell went on a run powering past three defenders before squaring to Wright but the Hibs stopper saved at her feet before she could strike.
On thirty-eight minutes Aberdeen put the game beyond doubt from a corner which was only cleared as far as MURRAY just outside the box and she placed a looping high shot into the net.
