Aberdeen were looking to make it six consecutive victories in a row and certainly started the brighter of the teams creating numerous clear cut chances in the first 10 minutes. STIRLING had a handfull of chances that she failed to convert despite the good build up play to create the chances.
30 minutes into the game and frustration was starting to take its toll with on count around 10 clear cut chances going begging. It just wasn-t looking to Aberdeens day.
Aberdeen finally broke the deadlock on 40minutes when MCDONALD played a brilliant through ball for LAW who showed great composure to take a touch past the Deevale player and finish into the bottom left corner.
Aberdeen then got a quick second goal moments after the restart on 41minutes when MCDONALD again the provider with a through ball to find MCCANN on the left one on one with the Deevale keeper 20 yards out to finish a superb chipped shot over the keeper.
Aberdeen then perhaps took the foot off the peddle at the dying moments of the first half when the defence and midfield were unable to clear the ball in their own half which led to a freekick on the outskirts of the box 25 yards out. The Deevale player scored a brilliant goal into the top corner which left CHATHAM stranded.
Aberdeen then got off to the worst possible start in the second half when after a Deevale corner one of their players ran from the middle of the box to the front box totally un-marked to score whoch put the game at 2-2.
Aberdeen then contined to press and create even more chances but again like the first half were unable to score despite another few chances one on one with the keeper.
Deevale then on the counter attack made the most of some poor Aberdeen defending where they were far too slow to close the ball down which led to Deevale taking the lead against the run of play. Aberdeen a this stage should have been looking at double figures which the amount of chances that were created.
Aberdeen then equalised 10minutes to go with a good through ball from STIRLING found SAM MCDONALD who scored a good goal in to the bottom right of the goals.
VERDICT:
Very disappointing that despite the amount of chances created Aberdeen were not able to go on and make it double figures in the game but is was not to be. It was a typical game to show what happens when a team does not take their chances. Aberdeen must have created 15 really good chances with Deevale perhaps only creating the 5 and yet the scoreline remained equal.
