ADDISON PROMOTED.

SEASON 05/06 REVIEW.

It all started so well, top of the table after 3 games and then we startyed to get over confident and the work rate went down and so did we,Nearly. On the last game of the season it was simple Beat Armada by 4 goals or go down.Bloody hell!!
But to my complete amazement everyone did what they were told and we come out winning 4-0. If only the attitude shown on the last day could have been carried through all season. We will never know!!
As for season 06/07 its all looking good with 17+ players on the books, and the old boys getting back to full fitness this might just be our year.Might!!

The begining

It all started in 2003 When Paul Bush decided he would take the plunge into managment,It started off quite slowly with only a few people taking interest, but then all of a sudden the team had about 18 players signed up and ADDISON ATHLETIC was born.
The next step was which league to go into,we as a group decided on the southend & district saturday league and went in division 2, which at the time was the bottom division.
Our first season saw us not doing well in the league but surprisingly going great guns in the cup resulting in a cup-final at Great Wakering, which we unfortunately lost 2-1 (cheers ref).
The following season saw us finish 3rd which was very respectable, but the time had come to move on so we applied for the Basildon Sunday league and here we are!
