Travelling from South.

Head North on A189 towards Ashington on reaching roundabout for Newbiggin/Sandy Bay take your second exit towards woodhorn and continue to next roundabout.
Take the first exit towards Ashington continue to next roundabout. Take second exit and continue to next roundabout. Take second exit on roundabout onto Woodhorn Road. Continue straight ahead for approx. .5 mile taking the third exit on the left onto Alexandra Road. This exit is opposite the Hyrst Castle Pub.
Continue on Alexandra Road for about 400 yds and The Hirst Welfare is on your left.
