AFC Canterbury were formed by Neil Meaton and Nikki Andrews in October 2006, and played their first game on October 31st.
The team played friendlies during that first season, before being accepted into the Herne Bay and Whitstable Sunday League for the 2007/08 season, and finished 3rd in Division 4, winning promotion into Division 3 for the 2008/09 season, as well as winning the 2007/08 Invitation Trophy.
AFC then finished 9th in Division 3 in 2008/09, meaning they were safe and in Division 3 for the 2009/10 season.
However, 2009/10 was a poor year for AFC, and they finished bottom of the league, mean relegation back to Division Four for the 2010/11 season.
We also play in a 6 a side league, Football Mundial at Polo Farm Sports Club in Canterbury.
Links to both these leagues can be found under 'Useful Links' on the left.
