'THE CARPS' play in the Hayes and District Sunday Football League, currently in Division One.
The club was founded as AFC Maco in 1997 and has undergone 3 name changes since, most recently from AFC Crown to AFC Carpenters at the start of the 2004/5 season due to sponsorship from The Carpenters public house in Hayes End.
The change signalled the start of a new era for the club, Players Chris Tearle and Chris Mason took over the running of the club and with asssistance from Chris Keegan turned the team from one that had lost 3 Cup finals on the bounce and was mulling around mid-table in Div 2, to one wich clinched promotion to Div 1 and won The Div 2 Cup in their first season.
AFC Carpenters play their home matches at Cranford Community College, Middlesex. Where they also have access to all-weather training facilities.
The clubs main ambition for this season is to win promotion once again and have a good crack at the Prem next term.
