Wayne joined up with the team for training in early October 2008.

Wayne made his debut in the 1-1 draw with Kidderminster due to first choice keeper Craig Parker being unavailable and put in a fine performance followed up by a equally as good performance at Cambridge.

Wayne unfortunately had to pack in from playing regular football due to a ankle injury he suffered a couple of years back but still hopes to play a game or two for AFC Poppies in the future.

Wayne made a return to the AFC Poppies side for the game at Coventry in September 2009.
