Off the field, AFC Santos can do no wrong! We have been Awarded the FA Charter Standard Adult Club for the East Region 2006, after being Awarded the Hertfordshire Award last month.
We are very proud in representing Hertfordshire & the East Region at the national finals later this year. All the hard work, dedication and support has been rewarded. We like to send a BIG 'Thank You' to all those involved.
The Region Award to be presented at half-time at the forthcoming UEFA U21 Championship Qualifier between England and Moldova which will take place at Portman Road, Ipswich Town FC on Tuesday 15th August 2006, 8.00pm kick off.

County Award for AFC Santos |

AFC Santos – The Lions were the toast at last nights FA Charter Standard Awards at the new plush Hertfordshire FA’s Headquarters with the Club winning the County Award at Adult Level for 2006. The Club will now move forward and represent the County at Regional Level. A BIG Thank you to all those involved and again to Nuno and ‘Bobby’ for attending alongside Club President Nicolas Barrow. It was also a very good night for ‘Nic’ who received an award for all his efforts, and also was lucky in the prize draw scooping an England Towel for the beach! Calvin narrowly missed out on the Coaching Award.

Last Nights AGM witnessed AFC Santos win one of 3 Administration Awards, and come Runner’s Up in the Division 1 Sportsmanship Award. More proof that the FA Charter Standard Adult Club have ended their First-Ever Season on a high. Well Done to all those involved. We now look forward to building on our first season, by gaining more points, scoring more goals, conceding less goals, receiving less bookings, finishing a place or more higher in the league and going further in the cups. The potential is there.

The FIFA World Cup 2006 always brings out Amateur Players who would like to involve themselves with successful local Clubs. Athletico Futebol Clube Santos (A.F.C. Santos) is the ONLY FA Charter Standard Adult Club involved with the North & Mid Herts League. Since our formation we have been successful off the pitch and won many new friends, players and admirers in our very first season. We are looking to build on that, and would like to invite players at adult level to come and get involved.
A Team Manager is also being considered. Please email if you would like to be considered.

New Sponsorship Deal Announced |

Today the Club announced a new sponsorship deal with ‘Bottles – Bar & Restaurant’ for the new 2006/07 North & Mid Herts League Season.
Part of the deal will see ‘A.F.C. Santos’ inviting back the away team for after match food from September 2006. The new Home & Away Club kit will have the ‘Bottles’ logo, and all Club meetings will now take part at ‘Bottles’.
Calvin Crook planned out much of the potential deal which was rubber stamped after the Clubs Presentation at ‘Bottles’ by Nicolas Barrow with ‘Bottles’ owner Andy Marshall.
We look forward to a successful partnership for the foreseeable future. A big ‘Thanks’ to ‘Bottles’.
