Headstone Manor FC V AFC South Ruislip â€" Kick Off â€" 4.30pm, (which turned into 5pm)
After a first half, when AFC South Ruislip had the majority of the play and possession of the ball and created several chances, that all came and went, Headstone grabbed the lead 5 minutes before half-time, with only their second chance of the half. Second half was a completely different matter as Headstone were by far the better side. AFC South Ruislip failed to keep the ball for any length of time and Headstone took 4 out 8 chances that came their way. The scoreline suggests that the boys were comprehensively beaten, when in all honesty this was a game of two halves. One of chances missed, one of chances taken. A harsh lesson in their last game, as I have now folded the team. The manager has now decided to walk away from football completely after certain individuals, who can only be described as childish and immature, decided it would great fun and highly amusing in the week leading up to the final on two occasions, to leave foul and abusive messages on his answer machine. Disrespectful and rude are just 2 words that spring to mind. Thanks boys, (as that is what you still are), what a great way to end
