AFC Thanet managed to secure the championship and the 'Double' with a 6 point difference and +102 goal difference. Title rivals Albert FC were the only contenders and with 5 games left to go it looked to be going down to goal difference. However, Albert FC managed to lose two of their remaining games opening the way for AFC's second consecutive Division Trophy.
AFC also secured the Division 2 Cup with a 3-2 win over Mulberry Tree FC.

AFC Thanet managed to secure the championship with a game left to go when they beat Chilton Tavern FC. Title rivals The Rodney Reapers were the only one's who could stop us and after losing 1-0 in the Division Cup Final to them, AFC came back strong with a 6-1 win in the league match that arguably decided the title.

Challenging for both the Division title and the Division Cup, AFC were well on their way to a great start for their first season together.
Up against Title rivals The Rodney Reapers, it was the first chance for either team to do the double over the other.
Despite many chances to score, AFC just could not find the net. Karl Barron of The Rodney did manage to find the net on one occassion that sealed the tie, and the Cup for The Rodney.
Although we lost this game, I still think it's important to record it in our history as we did manage to make the final, our first ever cup final and hopefully the first of many.
The AFC Thanet squad supported Sport Relief 2010 by wearing Sport Relief T-Shirts for our warm up session for the Quarter Final of the Division Cup against Chilton Tavern. They also wore wristbands.
AFC Thanet was formed in 2009 by Shaun Edwards and Jonathan Deslandes.
