Relegation
The Summer of 2007 was a sign of things to come for AFC West Midland. After a break from the previous campaign, the club went into the 2007/2008 season finding that a few players wanted to move on or finish playing totally.

This left very little time to assemble a playing squad. Everything was rushed and with no pre season games arranged, players were signed up very late meaning new unseen players would start the campaign.

The season opened at the new home of Little Perdiswell, after Brickfields was closed due to redevelopment.
Barbourne Celtic went away with a 4-1 victory.

The first point of the season came with a 2-2 draw versus the Villagers.

The cup competions saw AFC West Midland exit at the first hurdle. In The WFA cup a trip to Evesham league side Pebworth, saw the the tie go into extra time but a late winner put West Mids out 2-1.

The Bernard Finnegan League Cup also saw a narrow one goal defeat this time away at the higher graded Northwick Vale 2-3.

The clubs points tally was boosted by six drawn games. West Mids also achieved two great 'victories' over rivals Northwick Sports. 6-1 and 2-0, however due to Sports folding, these wins were wiped out.

The team eventually finished the season with a record of
P 20 W 3 D 6 L 11 Pts 15

However, due to admin errors where Mike McGrath and Chris Williams were unintentionally played whilst still under WFA ban, the club was deducted 6 points by the league and in doing so fell to bottom of the league.

The bright spots were the signings of Brothers Nathan & Steve Stone from Speedy Sports, who both deserved their player of the season awards.
