The club was formed about five years ago by Keith Tisdell and Rick Tresize mainly for Keith's step son, he then last year set up an under 11's side for his own son Josh. The name of the club was originally going to be called just Northbridge, North for Northfield and Bridge for Longbridge, but as there was already a club that had a very similar name he decided to call AkaNorthbridge. Keith was the original Manager, Coach, Chairmen and any other Job that you can think of. When he started the Under 11's last year he appointed Keith Draper to be Manager, but Keith wanted to concentrate on the older lads with Nathan Drazario assisting him. After three to four games Keith Draper wanted to resign as he had mainly dealt with older lads so Keith Tisdell decided to step down as Manager of the older lads and appointed Keith Draper as Manager and then made Nathan Manager of the then Under 11's team. Around January this year my son Jack joined the team so I started to come to training and to the matches, Im passionate about my football and Keith soon noticed this and asked if I wanted to help out with training, to which I jumped at the chance, he made me assistant to Nathan. After a promising start for me and Nathan (we was unbeaten for 4 games) we started to lose a few games even though we was playing well and deserved more we felt. The last game of the season we wo 5-0 and started to look forward to this season with optimism but unfortunately due to personal problems Nathan had to resign and left the club. So me and Keith decided we would carry on for the kids. Keith has now left the club and handed it over to me Mick so im now chairman and Manager of the club but also have a great backing from alot of the parents but especially :- Julie and Neil Martin, Sarah Smith and Kate and Tom Swadkins
