Safeguarding Children Workshop for Managers & Coaches [16 Mar @ 12:00am]

Cheshire FA will be running the FA's Safeguarding Children Workshop for Alderley United on Monday 11 April 2011 at the Drum & Monkey from 6.00pm to 9.00pm. This important course is mandatory for all managers and coaches and will cover: • Why football needs to safeguard children • Best practice in football • Signs and indicators of abuse and poor practice • Action to take if you have concerns about the welfare of a young person • Your relationship and behaviour towards young players

Emergency First Aid Course for Managers [3 Nov @ 11:25am]

Alderley United will hold an Emergency First Aid training course for Managers on Monday 29 November 2010 from 6.30 to 9.30pm. The course will take place at The Drum & Monkey, Moss Rose, Alderley Edge SK9 7LD. Cheshire FA will lead the course which will cover: - Incident Management - Assessing the casualty - Recovery position - CPR - Control of bleeding - Heart attacks - Choking - Shock Managers should confirm their attendance to Ged by 13/11/2010.

Let's Kick Racism Out of Football [1 Oct @ 1:55pm]

The 2010 One Game One Community week of action takes place from 14th-26th October 2010. This year’s campaign promises to be the biggest to date, and will feature activities from park pitches to the Premier League. Alderley United U14's are supporting the campaign this season by wearing the special 'One Game One Community' patches on our shirts. FA On Line Training Courses [29 Sep @ 10:00pm]

The FA provide a number of free on-line training courses that can help parents, players and managers get more out of the game. Follow the link from the 'Useful Links' page and register for the following courses: - FA Respect Guide for Parents and Carers All too often, over enthusiastic parents and carers can take the fun out of football for children by getting too heated under the collar. The Respect online parents and carers guide offers advice on how to display positive behaviour when coaching, watching and supporting Mini-Soccer and youth football. - Online Child Protection Free Course - While the online course will assist in providing a greater insight to this crucial subject, please be aware taking the online course is not an alternative for The FA's 3-hour Child Protection Workshop. - Online Laws of the Game Free Course - Enrol today for free and start learning the laws of the game right now!

FA CRB Checks for football volunteers [14 Sep @ 10:00pm]

The FA and League rules require that all junior football clubs carry out CRB checks on football volunteers working with children. The Club Welfare Officer (CWO) will contact volunteers to organise completion of application forms and verification of ID documents. The FA Guidance document for applicants can be downloaded here.
