Ex – QPR keeper and current Tottenham academy coach Peter Hucker began his first soccer school 11 years ago. His Saturday morning soccer schools now cater for over three hundred players every week. These schools at Blake hall and Barking abbey leisure centre are open to boys and girls of all abilities from two to sixteen years old and run every Saturday of the year. We also run soccer days throughout the holidays that consist of football games and matches with prizes and fun for all, supervised by qualified coaches. The Aldersbrook Athletic teams come out of Peter Hucker Soccer Schools, who take children of all abilities and give them a chance to play in a competitive league and practice the skills they have learnt. Do not be fooled although we never turn anyone away we pride ourselves in improving these children and intstalling a team ethic within them. This has brought success to Aldersbrook Athletic with the Under 8 Reds and Under 12 Reds both winning their leagues with cup success again for Under 8 Reds and Plate Success for the Under 8 Blues. We are proud of all our teams and of what they achevied.

It is clear that our top flight league is dominated by goalkeepers from overseas, Italy, Germany, Australia and America to name a few. The development of keepers in these countries is taken very seriously and the earlier goalkeepers can be positively influenced the better.

PH-Soccer is now offering a fantastic opportunity for young goalkeepers to learn new or fine tune existing skills required to develop into a competent and confident goalkeeper.

All sessions professionally stuctured as follows:

Warm up inc ball familiarity

Technique work: These practices are designed to improve technical performance and knowledge. Games. Each session will finish with high tempo goalkeeping games. Topics covered Basic handling, diving techniques, 1v1, crosses, distribution and reaction work. Also beat the keeper and penalty comps!

The Coach for these sessions will be Martin Edwards who has great experience working with young goalkeepers at Spurs , QPR, Middlesbrough, Leyton Orient and in the USA. Martin is currently working at Fulham's Academy.
