ALKRINGTON DYNAMOS FC

Alkrington Dynamos FC was founded in 1991 and at that time was purely a junior football club consisting of four teams at different age groups.

The club joined the Rochdale Youth league where for many seasons we saw a great deal of success collecting many honours and trophies.

Leaving the Rochdale Youth League in 1999, the club by this time had been reduced to just one team.

This team then found under 17 and under 18 football in the Bolton Federation Youth League where they played for two seasons before moving to open age football in the Middleton and District Sunday football league.

Staying in this league for four seasons the team progressed from the second division through to the Premiere Division before joining Division 2 of the Lancashire and Cheshire league in season 2005/06.

The first season saw the Dynamos finish in 7th position and in the second season finishing in 6th place.

Our home ground is on Bowlee Community Park at Middleton but we are hoping that plans for a move to a new pitch and ground on Mossway are still a possibility, courtesy of Rochdale MBC

This season 2007/2008 has now seen the introduction of the Dynamos 'second' (B team)and therefore a little piece of history as this is the first time ever for a second team. This is in line with the ambition at the club which will hopefully see the club expansion continue.
