The Falcons started their first league match against the strongly fancied Griff Tigers. The Falcons started with a full strength team and were ready for the battle that was surely ahead.
the first half saw the classy Tigers create many chances, but the impressive Dan S, Jordan P and Chris S ensuring that the Tigers were thrawted on may occasions. Adam R (captain for game) showed his goalkeeping prowess with some great saves.
In all the first half, albeit in the main controlled by the Tigers, did in fact give the Falcons some great opportunities to play solidly as a group and did have chance for James B and Aidan B to be able to pass the ball around - with little reward.
Cameron M showed some great skill to beat his man on the left and a superb cross ball was just too far ahead of the marouding James B.
The defenders were certainly earning their pay today and Jordan P finished the half in tremendous form, saving the Falcons from more misery

The seond half showed some subs with Rob L and Robert W coming on and moving things around. The second half was again similar to the first in that the Tigers seemed to have that little edge and the defenders had to work exceptionally hard.
Jordan P was again in superb form in the second half and with man mountain Dan S and Chris S, seemed to be controlling things.
Robert W came on and continued his development with some great tackles and good form, for a lad who had never played league football before - the future can only get better.Aidan B seemed to be endlessly running and superbly supported by Cameron M and James B - but the luck was not to be with the Falcons, as the Tigers strength and great passing seemed to show the Falcons how things were going to be.
Adam R showed tremendous keeping in the second half and Chris S and Rob L continued to work hard and run their socks off.
The final whistle blew to both teams coming off to ratptuous applause and socked through as the heavens had opened.
