Ambleside Hearts was founded by Gareth Archer in August 2007. The team was formed under the principles of AJFC where everyone would be given a chance to play and winning is not the highest priority. Parents and children joined Gareth and formed the foundation of a team that went on to take on the very best the league could throw at them. The team formed a strong bond with each other and with their inspirational coach. They took their determination and committment to each of their games and played with great courage and inspirstion. Finishing last season at the bottom of the league has had not effect on them other than to increase their determination to take on the new season with even more enthusiasm.

Gareth says "We have seen players mature and grow throughout the season. I can't believe how they have taken on the challenge and grown in stature and confidence. I hope to build on the experience and success of last year and make the coming season even more of a milestone. I am delighted at the number of players we have at training and all the resounding support we have had from the parents throughout the season".
