HISTORY
05 May 2008

Archdale's Football Club was formed in 1926 by factory workers from the Birmingham based Archdale Machine Tool Company. In 1926 the factory relocated to Worcester, during this time other sporting clubs were formed including cricket, tennis and bowling.

In the late 1950's the Archdale family sold their interest to Staveley Machine tools. By 1972 Staveley closed Archdale’s despite having made profits of £3m.

In 1973 the workers bought the club.

The football club played in the Worcester League for many seasons. By the 1987-88 season the club had joined the Kidderminster Premier League and finished runners up on goal difference. As a result the club were promoted to the Midland Combination.

The 2007-2008 season saw the Club introduce a Under 18's Youth team for the first time in their history. They were entered into the Midland Floodlit Youth League (MYFL) in the Southern League and whilst the first season had limited sucess the 2008-2009 season was a failure and as a result the Management Committe have resigned the team from the league but will look to rejoin next season.

With the sucess of the youth team in 2007-2008 it was decided to expand the youth section and for the 2008-2009 season 3 further teams were intoduced, 2 at Under 14's and 1 at under 13's.

The long term plan for the Club is to be able to offer football for children of all ages with the chance to either play for the first team or even higher and we will be adding a 4th youth side at under 12's for the 2009-2010 season.
