Armitage Swan Football Club was founded in July of 2006. Formed by most of the commitee and players of the disbanded Ridware Swifts FC.


Armitage Swan represent the village of Armitage in Staffordshire, famous for Armitage shanks bathroom suites.


The history of football in Armitage goes back a long way, the first record of a team in the village, being reported in local papers in 1892.
