yeah loved playing for the star, some great players there which I learnt a lot from.
2) what was you main reason for wanting to sign for Aspect?
One reason was that I just wanted to play with my mates again. Also it looks like Chris has turned the team around by getting results. Wheras before the team was not winning.
3) what do you feel the team can achieve in there first season together?
We should be aiming to win the league. It will be difficult but there is no reason why we can't.
4) have you got any personal goals you would like to achieve this season?
I'm aiming for double figures in goals and to start as many games as possible.
5) what do you think is your best position? why?
I would say on the left or right of midfield because I like to get forward as much as possible and don't mind getting back to defend. And I have played in that position for the last 4 years
Johnson Interview (20/06/2007)
1) Who Do You Admire As A Football Manager, And Why?
I think from last season i would have to say Roy Keane. His 1st attempt at management, and he lifted Sunderland from the bottom of the championship, to go on to win it. Some achievement.
2) Who Is Your Footballing Idol? (Past Or Present)
Thers so many to choose, i think my main idols are, Gerrard, Henry and Bergkamp.
3) Who Do You Think Is The Best Player In The World At The Moment?
I think steven gerrard, just because he is immense in every aspect of the game. Such a vital player, can win games on his own.
4) What Is Your Boot Manufacturer Of Choice And Why?
Nike. I find they are the most comfortable, and i have wide feet, and nike boots are generally quite wide. And lightweight as well.
5) Who Is The Best Footballer Youve Played In The Same Team With?
Steve Bernard. For Christchurch. Amazin player, rarely put a foot wrong, always gave 100%
6) Favoured Playing Position And Sqaud Number?
I prefer to play center mid, or up front. I like to be involved in the game alot. try and get as much of the ball as i can. i used to have a favoured number, 9. But at the moment i dont care wot number i wear, as long as im playing
7) As The Debate Continues Over Thier Places In The England Squad. Lampard Or Gerrard? Why?
Gerrard, without a doubt. His all round game is 100 times better than fat franks
8) Arsenal Had A Poor Season This Year, Who Do You Think Needs To Be Signed To Stop The Rot?
Gerrard, ronaldinho, ronaldo, rooney and many more. lol. I think Henry is vital, we need him to guide the younger ones coming through the ranks. The thing with arsenals is that they bring players through the youth set up, and dont always buy big names. Normally takes them a couple of seasons to gel, but wen they do, they play the best football in the world, by far.
9) Favoured Formation, And Why?
3-5-2. I like to play very attacking football. And if u have the right amount of quality in the team, then this formation is leathal. Which we do
10) If You Could Pick A World 11 Who Would Star In Your Team?
GK: Petr chech, DEF: Roberto Carlos, John Terry, Jamie Carragher. MID: David Beckham, Owen Hargreaves, Steven Gerrard, Cesc Fabregas, Joe Cole. STR: Kaka, Rooney

9: Excellent - Top-class display, probably the matchwinner.
8: Very Good - Outstanding, very influential.
7: Good - Impressive, eye-catching.
6: Average - No major faults, nothing overly impressive.

Tom Smart Speaks To Aspect Site (29/05/2007)
Aspect)What Do You Make Of Last Season, For You Personally?
Tom: 'was i good second half and just that we have a great deal too build on'
Aspect: What About Yourself, Anything You've Learnt Or How Do You Think You Have Improved?
Tom: 'i think my defensive game has come a long way and i now feel more comfortable using my left foot but really it my hunger for goals that has become greater not just scoring but creating i feel confident stopping attacks but would like too be involed more in a few of our own'
Aspect: You Had To Play In A Back 3 This Season, Must Had Been Very Different To Play 'Centre-back' Role?
Tom:'extremly but then playing in a different position gives you another perspective on the game and can only help me improve'
Aspect: What Do You Think You Learned Most Playing That Role?
Tom: 'its good to know you can turn both ways playing the wing or a wide position you always have the line too guide you but in a position with more space you have alot more options i suppose its just learning how important it is too have an easy five yard pass on and now when i play wide il try harder too drop short for the easy pass'
Aspect: A massive influence on yourself, ofcourse all players will play where their told, but if you could choose, where would you love to be play if in the first 11?
Tom: 'id like too play at the back of a forward three i feel im good at running with the ball and i might as well be heading towards the goal'
Aspect: Johnson's Already Expressed A Desire For 16 Man Squad, Looking Forward To The Challenge?
Tom: 'thrive on it as a versitilr player il be challenging and challenged for alot of positions but it all just adds drive'
Aspect: You Made A Comment About Your Left Foot, You Serious About Improving That Side?
Tom: 'of coarse its vital too me a player with two good feet is a great asset too a team and i feel playing on the left side so long that its maybe an easier transition for me'
Aspect: You Were Among A Few Names During the 05/06 Season. It Was A Rather Difficult Season, Especially At The Start When Talks Of The Team Folding. Having Stuck Through That And Seen The Side Thats Set For The Coming Season, Was It Worth It?
Tom: 'oh yeah i knew eventually we would reach this point and that we would be looking too go unbeaten rather than fighting relegation i never lost my faith'
Aspect: Obviously Full Of Tricks, Versitile. What Are You Looking To Improve On This Season The Most?
Tom:'my eye for goal and shooting from a distance neither have really been a part of my game last season, really im looking too up every part of my game those are my two weekest aspects (no pun intended)'
Aspect: Very Funny Tom, Looking Forward Once More, Lots of Talking Of Winning The League, Cups, Trophies. But Surely These Are More Targets. What Would You Say Is The 'Requirment' This Season?
Tom: 'are requirements are just building a stronger team and really reworking through all the basics that slipped us last season, some medals wouldnt hurt either'
Aspect: Thanks Tom For Your Time
Tom: No Problem

Johnson Speaks About Recent Events....... (17/05/2007)
Q)Obviously your delighted to have got into Division 5, considering where the side finished last season, you sure their ready?
Chris: 'Ye 100%, Last season we only really came alive from xmas. If u look at the points we gained since xmas, i think its clear to see that we are capable of beating teams. If every1 has the same positive attitude, we will have no problems, we're good enough'
Q) So first season in Division 5, many would agree the team are capable of finishing top 2, but would you agree that to finish outside the bottom 2 is the main aim?
Chris: 'No, I think the main aim is to win the league, and not lose a game throughout the season. If we aim to not finish bottom, then thats saying that we're not that confident in our ability to seriously compete in lthe league'
Q) So many new faces linked with the side, can you confirm any new signings or players leaving?
Chris: 'There is 1 deffinate new signing, Dean Bartlett is joining. As for players leaving, not that ive heard of. The team from last season are sticking together'
Q)Is it true the homeside will not have a home pitch?
Chris: 'No, the BFA will assign us a pitch for the season, possibly slades farm. However i think at this level, its not essential to play at the same place every week. A pitch is a pitch, both teams have to play on it, so i dont think there are any advantages in having a set pitch'
Q) What do you think the team need to improve on the most?
Chris: 'Confidence. I think we have enough ability wise to compete, i just think we all need to believe in ourselves a bit more, and have a bit more fight in the game. There are times when i feel that we get bullied out of games. So thats something to work. But i think overall, we are good enough at playing football to win games'
Q) Anything else you wish to say?
Chris: 'Just that i really believe we will win something this year, be it a cup, the league, or both. We need to start the season the way we ended last years, and be fighting for the league title at the end, rather than fighting to survive. If every1 trains hard and gives 100% in their game, we will be fine. Bring on the season!
