Aztec arrived for todays game looking for the 3 points that would have taken them above their opponents and set out from the start to dominate possession and put on a real footballing show,after 10 or so minutes of playing triangles around the home sides players a rare venture into the Aztec half resulted in a optomistic long range effort tacking a wicked deflection and evading TJ 1-0 Tigers, This set back didnt phase the boys and they stuck to their principles and continued to give the home side the run around Jay had a turn and shot well saved from the home sides keeper & Keaton who was the games dominant player throughout saw an effort fly wide this was closely followed by Frankie S going close with a header from a corner, 1-0 at halftime

Into the 2nd half and to our amazement Tigers came out in what seemed to be a 3-3-0 formation in an attempt too stiffle the Aztec forward surges, This enabled the away side to go all out attack and what started as 2 up front ended with 3 and kept the home side firmly pegged back.
Chances followed and Mitchells diving header after a flowing move eneded up wide of the target, Jay had another attempt saved, Sam shot just over Keaton had an audacious chip well saved by the Tigers keeper and the home side blocked numerous attempts, unfortunatley when it seemed the away side did get the ball in the net a Tigers player collided with the unsecured goalpost sending the goalframe backwards and forcing the referre into an unpopular decision with most of the crowd and dissalowing what looked for all but the tigers staff to be a legitament goal.
The home side had now resorted to long kicks downfield to relieve pressure at any chance and to their credit got out of the game what they had set out to achieve-3 points,Aztec had however come away with more than 3 points as today was a real show of character and a passing performance that was unfortunately not rewarded with anything more than a large round of applause!
10/10 for all, A really impressive team performance enjoyed by all present
