Welcome to the Home page of Bare Rangers Football Club. We were formed in 1995 and from that very first day we have grown into the biggest Junior Football club in the area, each season see`s more enquiries to come and join us. We are one of 2 clubs playing football in this area to achieve the Charter Development Standard, this is a great testament to the way the club is overseen and run by the numerous coaches, managers and volunteers who give up their time to ensure our local boys and girls can learn to play football in a safe and enjoyable environment. We are extremely lucky to be able to have the use of the areas best facility in the 3g pitch at Lancaster & Morecambe College and play our home Lune & District games there. Our most important questions asked at Bare is “Did you enjoy yourself” and “Did you do your best”, if the answer is yes then we know our job has been done correctly.
After a virtual clean sweep of the service to youth cups, add to that a couple of league champions and in the Lune & District League we had 3 lots of League winners it was our best season for a very long time.
Former player Ben Blackburn was given an extended contract at Blackburn Rovers, Annabel Collin was also signed up for 12 months, after her first season of competitive football.
We have now officially welcomed as a community partner one of the biggest names in Football McDonald`s. You will hear and learn more about this in the coming months
This season will see some radical changes in the way Junior football is played in this area, the FA have announced major changes in the way the game of football will be played in the future. The Lune & District League have taken the brave step and after been voted in by the majority of local clubs we will see for the first time U12 football played at 9-a-side.
We also have new people in charge of the Service to Youth League. Already they have enticed sponsors and have put new ideas in place to try and improve on the hard work work and foundations created by the former committee.
It is exciting times for football and hopefully this will encourage even more local children to begin to take and interest in the game and maybe give it a try. So if interested have a look around the site and get in touch if you need any more information.
