With it’s main objective the promotion of amateur football, the formation of Bartley Green F.C. was designed to produce a football club and clubhouse were founded in the 1950’s on
Saturday football, but for various reasons this did not continue, and since the 1970’s, most of the club’s football had been played in Sunday League and cup competitions. The season 2005-2006 heralded a momentous step for the club, in that, after a long break, we once again have a side playing on Saturdays. After a successful two seasons in the Midland Combination League, winning Division 2 in 2005-06,and then taking the Division 1 title 2006-07 in successive seasons, the club BOLDLY carry on moving forward into the Midland Comb.Premier League under Neil Bryan and his staff.Developments behind the scenes carry on,and every effort is being made to progress even further on and off the pitch.
A sincere vote of thanks is due to the sterling work of the club volunteers and local business friends who ensured that our application to the Midland Combination met the stringent
standards required regarding ground, facilities etc. much credit is due to them.
To all players, officials and supporters (whether home or
visitors), we extend a warm and hearty welcome to share and enjoy the season with us.
