Our first home league game against old rivals Gunness,which is always a tough physical encounter.Today was no different we played exceptionally well during the first half and were well on top.We finished the half leading 2-1 with goals from wright and meffen although we should have been leading by more goals as missed chances were ultimately going to prove costly.The second half started and Gunness had upped their game quite considerably and after 20 mins we found ourselves 2-3 down.But such is the lads spirit they responded and drew level 3-3.Now it looked like either team could win as the game moved from end to end.Gunness proving the stronger as coupled with a couple of individual errors they scored 3 more times to make the final score 3-6 but to their credit Barton did not give up and kept trying to play football right to the end.I personally do not believe there are 3 goals between these teams as the watching supporters will probably agree but what a good game.
