The team started the year as an Amalgamation of Signet United Youth into Basildon Town before the 2009/2010 season.

The club entered its first pre-season tournament at Trinity FC where they came 3rd in there group.

The squad consisted 16 players, 10 were previous Signet boys, with 6 new players coming in, 2 from Kingdown Rangers "B", 1 from Lee Chapel "A", 1 from Beech United "A", 1 from Dunton Dynamoes "A" and the last not playing for anyone last season!

The club entered into the Southend Junior League Division A, which Signet United played in the previous season and came 6th, the Southend Junior League Cup and the Essex County Cup.

The season started well with a win over Romford Borough Youth "B" 3~1 at the Selex Ground in the Essex County Cup then this was followed up by the biggest win of the season against Canvey Island "B" where we beat them 15~0.

The League season started with a thrilling 5~5 draw away against Benfleet Youth "A", in the next fixture the side was knocked out of the Essex County Cup to Langley Colts "B" at the Selex after a 2~1 defeat.

The beginning of November started brilliently with a thrilling 4~3 Extra Time victory against Ecko Whitecaps in the League Cup. The second league game of the season sore Basildon beat Island Boys "A" 7~0 in a really exciting game. But this was short lived as Town then lost the next 3 games, starting with a 5~2 defeat against Kingdown Rangers, then a 1~0 defeat against Leigh Ramblers "B" both in the League and going out of the League Cup against Leigh Rockets "A" 4~1.

Then there was a two month winter break as all games where called off due to the weather. At christmas Basildon found themselves 7th with 4 points from 4 games.

With Basildon out of both clubs the boys where left with 12 remaining league games.

On febraury 7th Basildon hosted Kingdown Rangers "A" and defeated them 2~1, this was followed up by 2 more wins against Leigh Ramblers "B" (2~1) and Southend Manor "A" (4~3).

March saw Basildon Town take on there local rivals Basildon Boys, Basildon Town won 1~0 to take there winning run of games to 4 matches in 2010. Sadly this result was followed by a defeat at home against Southend Manor who we lost to 2~1.

Basildon Town bounced back the following weekend with a 4~1 victory against Hawkwell Athletic "B" on the Saturday and a very impressive 4~1 victory on the sunday against our local rivals Basildon Boys "A"

The weekend after Basildon Town again played Hawkwell Athletic "B" on the saturday this time winning 6~4 on a really windy day. The following day Basildon Town played a beat bottom placed Hambro Colts "A" 9~0 to push the team into 2nd place behind Benfleet Youth "A".

Next came the all deciding encounter between Basildon Town "A" and Benfleet Youth "A", Basildon won 3~0 at the Selex Ground which ment that Basildon only had to win the last two remaining league games to win the league.

Basildon's game against Hambro Colts "A" the following week was cancelled as Hambro could refushed to field a side. Town gain the 3 points.

This left Basildon Town going into the last game of the season against Island Boys needing to win to crown themselves Champions of the league, after a hard fought game, Basildon won 2~1 which sparked great celebrations after the game. Fake Champayne and Singing at Waterside was followed up by drinking and Socialising at the Selex Ground after the game.

What a day to remember....

In 2010 Basildon Town won 11 out of 12 games....
