The first ever cup win for the team, after a dominating performance in the derby. It took 35 minutes for the deadlock to be broken in a slow paced game, but a cross from Liam Whitworth was somehow palmed into the Cumby keepers own net.
Early in the second half, Whitworth fired his 2nd goal before changes were made. Subs Adam Watson and Joe Rea Dobson snatched more goals, both having positive impacts. Only one shot in the whole match for Cumby. A dominating, but slow victory against the rivals to take the Saints into the last 8.
