THE SEASON 2008/9 BEGINS HERE

Following the AGM this years committee will be as follows:
Chairman: Jon Leese
Deputy Chairman: Dave Carlin
Secretary: Salil Das
Treasurer: Chris Bicheno

Following a bit of change last year, the season was a relative success. Ok we didn't win anything but as a club we dug in together to set us up nicely for the forthcoming season.

As ever each captain deserves immense credit for running and coordinating their sides.

The end of season dinner was a good success with each of the captains again excelling in their end of season speeches.

It is hoped that with the commitment of each and every member we can all have really successful and enjoyable seasons next year.

Since we became an independent club following the selling of our ground and subsidy from Barclays we have overcome some real barriers. To our immense credit we have been able to continue to field 6 teams and a vets team ever since. Now is the time to try and push on and take us forward.

Naturally financial constraints are a stark reality and to that end lets all get our heads together and if we can think of any fundraising events throughout the season then don't be shy in putting some suggestions forward. Ultimately it can all help to increase our enjoyment for playing for the Eagles.

Have a great summer, do some collar (!!) and get ready for what will be another enjoyable season of football next year.
