Club was founded as Old Bedians AFC on 14th May 1928 by ex pupils of St Bede's College, Whalley Range, Manchester. 2 teams were entered in the Palatine Amateur League & first selection meeting was 10th September 1928.
Matches were initially being played at Hough End, Manchester .However the club moved to Turn Moss, Stretford in 1963 as Old Bedians AFC were by then wishing to run 5 teams.
In the L.A.L. we were a strong Club in the late 1960s , then drifted a little until extreme training under new Club Captain, Ged Lee & Nick Murphy saw the Club reinvigorate from mid 1970s onwards. Highlight was a semi final appearance in the Lancashire Amatuer Cup only to lose to Salford City.
In 1968 the club moved to its current homeUnderbank Farm & were joined by Old Bedians R.U.F.C. whose old Brookburn Road ground would be taken over by East Chorlton & later by West Didsbury.
Meetings had always been held at St Bede's College but were now held at home.
The Club was restricted to ex pupils until the late 1950s & open to all players from the early 1960s.......all newcomers being vetted & approved by the Committee before signing on.
Old Bedians changed to Bedians F.C. on our return to L. & C. in 1978. The first & second teams moved easily through to the top divisions where they have stayed. All 4 teams have enjoyed success over the years.
