The team had played well, with Mitchel Redgate making some great saves! There were chances, but Belvedere just couldnt put the ball in the back of the net. Mason Woods, fell on his just healed broken wrist, and had to be taken away to hospital (it looked broken again!) following a tackle.
In the last 5 minutes, Blackheath managed to put the goal past Mitchel for them to claim the only goal of the game - and the all important win! Both Geoff and Barry were disappointed, as the team had played very well up until then.
So the whistle blew - and that was points lost in the opening game - BUT the team are already fired up for next weeks away game, and determined to put todays loss behind them... They also had the opportunity to meet Hull City Player Jimmy Bullard, which cheered them up!
