Directions

From East London / Romford Direction

1. Travel east on either A13 or A127. If travelling on A127, leave at the exit for A130 and follow road signs to Canvey Island. This leads you down to Sadlers Farm where you can follow the Chelmsford directions below.

2. If travelling on A13 you will pass the exit for M25, continue along the A13 for approx 15 more miles until you reach Sadlers Farm roundabout. It is the first rounabout you encounter.

3. Take the 2nd Exit off the Sadlers Farm (A13) (Roundabout) having taken the right hand route around Sadlers farm. You are now heading towards Benfleet area known as Tarpots, you are still on A13.

4. Keep into the left hand lane and after approx 400 yards you approach a double mini roundabout.

5. Turn left on the first roundabout into Rushbottom Lane

6. After a few hundred yards the road bends sharply to the right and becomes Church Road, follow this for about 0.5 miles and you come to a cross roads controlled by traffic lights. There is a parade of shops on your left and Petrol station on right.

7. Turn left at the traffic lights into Manor Road, drive to the end of the road and you drive straight into Woodside Park.

8. As you enter the park follow the narrow roadway keeping playing fields on your left. You pass a pavillion on your left, continue past and you will see a Bowls Club on left by an entrance into Car Park. You have now arrived at the clubhouse.

9. Changing rooms are entered via the left side of the building.

From Chelmsford Direction

1. Take the A130 towards Canvey Island, at the junction after the A127 you reach Sadlers farm (roundabout)ie junction with A13. Turn left on the roundabout and then first left at next smaller roundabout onto the A13 heading towards Southend.

2. Now continue from Step 4 of instructions above.
From Southend Direction

1. If it suits you to travel on A127, then follow A127, through Rayleigh Weir underpass, then take exit with A130 and follow signs for Canvey Island.
2. On reaching Sadlers Farm Junction, take A13 for Benfleet (ie 1st exit, followed by 1st exit at the two roundabouts you encounter. Now continue by following step 4 above.

3. If you prefer to travel on A13 towards Benfleet, then follow London Road out of Southend, through Hadliegh and towards Benfleet. You will pass Castle Point Council offices on your right.

4. You now begin to come down a steep hill (Bread & CheeseHill). At the bottom are a set of traffic lights. Turn Right at the lights and drive to the end of the road, where you must turn left.

10. You now drive a few hundred yards and come to a cross roads, with Pub & Garage on the left. You turn right into Manor Road. Drive to the end of the road and you drive straight into Woodside Park. From here you follow steps 8 & 9 above.
