North Berks League: Benson Lions took the local honours as the Division 4 side knocked out village rivals Benson AFC with a shock 2-0 victory.

Goals from Jon Radcliffe and Leon McLeod sealed the upset against the Division 2 side.

There was a big scare for Division Four leaders Benson Lions at home to bottom side Warborough Reserves, where goals from Steve Hendy (2), and Nick Goodman put the visitors 3–1 ahead. The Lions roared back though thanks to Ryan Evans (2) and Robert Simpson.

Ten-man Benson Lions pulled off a shock as the Division 3 side dumped Division 1 outfit Coleshill United out of the League Cup with a 2-1 defeat.

A surprise was on the cards when Andrew Gibson fired Benson ahead with a superb 25-yard free-kick on 12 minutes.

Just before half-time, Benson doubled their tally when Andrew Morgan headed home a free-kick.

In the second half, Benson were reduced to ten men when Morgan was sent off.

Although Coleshill reduced the arrears when Nick Shipley put through his own net, Lions held out for victory.

In Division 3, Will Wardell headed Benson Lions into the lead against Ardington & Lockinge Reserves following a fine move and they made it 2 – 0 through Liam Wilkinson.

Matt Searis pulled one back for the leaders but Rob Simpson scored a fine individual goal on the break to seal the 3 – 1 win, which leaves the Lions only one point behind Ardington
