Bere Alston Utd are within touching distance of the Premier Division Champioship after playing out a 1-1 draw with second place St Newlyn East, who can now not win the title.
A win at Sticker in their last game will confirm a first ever Devon-beased champions.
Lee Howells gave Bere a first half lead from a Will westlake corner. Play swung from end to end with Newlyn hitting the woodwork as they sought an equaliser. The visitors pressed even harder in the second period, with russell withers firing them level with a terrific shot from 25 yards into the top left hand corner.
Bere Held out for the point, but the champagne stays on ice for now.
