A cold morning saw us trek to Braintree to visit Great Bradford.
The first half was a fairly even encounter. Bradford playing with the slope attacked numerous times.But Jonah and Daniel worked well together as a pair to clear any danger away.Thomas and Alex linked up to try and produce the feed to Ryan up front. Nathan really got involved today with some good tackles and his passing is improving every week.
The only goal in this half went to GB as a bit of mix up saw the ball squirm under Matthews body.
Still plenty to play for in the second half.
In the second half though the boys seemed to lose all concentration.Several times we were defending deep and the boys put the ball in the danger zone,our danger zone. Bradford grabbed these chances and poor Ryan now in goal didn't stand much chance. GB knocked in some great crosses which we were at sixes and sevens with.
We did manage some counter attacks as they were caught short at the back.Thomas was through on goal when he was fouled,perhaps the advantage should have been played for a bit but the ref gave a free kick on the edge of the box. Richard took an absolute beauty which was destined for the top corner.The GB keeper though did really well in tipping it onto the bar.
Jonah broke through into the box.I was willing him to unleash one but he took it just to far and the defense caught him up.
