Once again our so called first team managed to get yet another hammering from another very average team.
It only seems to take a couple of goals for your heads to drop and give up making us look a very poor quality team. The thing is; we are not! Where is all that energy that we see in our second match and the hunger that we see in training? Our midfield today looked lazy and seemed to feel that they could just hang around waiting for the ball to fall to their feet. Very rare did we see them tracking back to assist in defending which left our poor defenders and keeper trying to cope with four or five of the opposition on more than one occasion. Some of our players seem happy to just mope around sulking when things aren’t going their way, but as I have said many times; we can do far better as we see in our ‘second team’. Maybe we need to swap the teams around. If we lose, but you have all tried hard, then that’s ok, but it is that trying bit that the ‘first team’ seem to be missing at present. The only sight of any effort came from the defence and the forward today, so let’s buck up and start winning again.
M.O.M: Calum Robinson (one person who doesn’t give up when we are losing)
