Bishops Lydeard AFC Training Kit Shop The club is to open a “shop” in the club house which will enable anyone who wishes to purchase a range of training kit. The club is very grateful to Juliet Melvin-Sparks for volunteering to run this facility. Opening Hours The “shop” will be open on the following Saturdays from 9.30am to 12.00pm; • 29th August • 26th September • 31st October • 28th November Further dates will be announced once we get a feel for how things are going. Merchandise & Prices All merchandise will have the BLAFC badge embroidered on it, except the player bags which will have the club’s name on the side. At present we plan to offer the following; Item Colour Price T-Shirt – Youth sizes Red or Black £8 / each T-Shirt – Senior sizes Red or Black £8.50 / each Polo Shirt – Youth sizes Red or Black £11 / each Polo Shirt – Senior sizes Red or Black £11.50 / each Sweatshirt – Youth sizes Red or Black £12 / each Sweatshirt – Senior sizes Red or Black £14 / each Hooded sweatshirt – Youth sizes Red or Black £16 / each Hooded sweatshirt – senior sizes Red or Black £17 / each Player kitbag – small £10 / each Player kitbag – large £11 / each Rain jacket – Youth sizes Black £21.50 / each Rain jacket – Senior sizes Black £22 / each The price of each item has been calculated to generate a small profit for the club, but since the club is obtaining significant discount for bulk purchasing we believe the prices offer good value. Other things to note are; • We are not offering personal initialling of kit • There is a large range of sizes within each of the generic “Youth” or “Senior” sizes • There will be an example of each product on display in the shop which will help you gauge the size you need to order. Ordering Due to the small margins in the prices, we do not at present feel we can afford to hold stock of any item. Each item will therefore need to be ordered individually but we will do a bulk order in the week after the shop has been opened on the Saturday (that is, in week commencing 31/8, 28/9, 2/11 & 3/12 etc). The turn around of orders from the supplier is about 3 weeks (because of the embroidery) so the intention is that any item ordered will be available to be collected the next time the shop is open. At the moment we are requesting that people collect their order from the shop. Again, because of the low margins in the prices but also because there is quite a heavy workload involved in running the shop, we do not want to be chasing people for payment. Therefore we will be insisting that payment is made with the order. If you have any questions or suggestions on how we could run this shop better please contact any of the directors or Juliet. Finally, we do hope to add a 2nd hand football boot sale facility later in the year, so if you would like to donate any (decent) old boots to the club, we will resell them for £3 – a good way of donating to the club & enabling the cost of football to be kept a bit lower during these challenging economic times.
