Joined Saturday League in 1927 in 2nd Div
July 1928 : Kit changed to Red & Black
The 50’s saw the first silverware
After beating British Rail 3-2 the KO Cup was
the first trophy in 42 years
The Gazette recorded :
“Bishops Lydeard went wild on Boxing Night
when the cup was won by the senior team”
League Championships, Knockout Cup, and
Rowbarton Cup wins, followed.
60-70’s were survival years
1976 saw the Sunday team start with
tremendous success
80’s/90’s have been one of the most
successful periods for the club.
