Each team within Dynamos should have a fund raiser, these chosen people meet about once every two months to come up with ideas for raising funds for the clubs operation costs
Every little bit helps.
Steve Porcher U9s Blue Team has come up with a fantastic idea. On the 12th Dec we will be bag packing from 11am to 6pm at TESCO in winchester. Club Members are needed to ensure we fulfill the time slot and maximise the amount of money we can raise. Please contact Steve Porcher porcherhome@hotmail.com to let him know if you can go up there and help for a couple of hours
ADULTS 70/80's Disco, Sat 3rd Oct 7.30-11.30pm Jubilee Hall |This fantastic night raised over On Thousand Pounds for club funds
Bishops Waltham Fun Run Forms will soon be available to download from here for the Fun run on 7th June 2009. Would all Managers of kids (or adults!) aged 8 and over please encourage their teams to take part as this could be a great fund raiser for the Club. It would be great to see a sea of yellow and red again around the streets of BW! Last year the U14B (this years) team did this event (see photo) as part of their training / fitness regime and raised over £500.00 for the club !!!!! If that's what one team can achieve imagine what nearly 20 teams could do !!
Dynamos Quiz Night - WHAT A GOOD NIGHT !! ... click for more details Many thanks to all of you who turned up for the quiz night, we managed to raise £351, I think nearly all enjoyed it but even though several of you asked, I don't think I could manage to do 2 a year. 10 teams was a great turnout and it's fund raising events like this which helps the club keep our signing on fees down to one of the lowest around so please support any events that come up in the future. It also keeps up a good social atmosphere around the club. Must say a big thanks to Andy Black for the questions and putting up 8 bottles of wine as a prize, also big thanks to Deb, Martin & Kieth for helping to set up and big big thank you to Sarah for keeping the scores and all who supplied raffle prizes. I would like any feedback, if anyone can think of anything to help when this event is done again : did it go on to late ? were the questions to hard ? should teams of 8 plus have a handicap ( a team of 6 did win ,well done Mike's team ) how can we keep Martin O' quite when he knows the answer ( somethings just won't happen ). Again many thanks to all who came, those that didn't you missed a good night for only a fiver ! Simon Hunt simonunderthethumb@live.co.uk
Ladies Evening - Priory Park - Friday 27th March 2009. Numbers for this event were considerably up on last time. Fortunately, we did not clash with any other events which is obviously key for these evenings. We still would have liked more but, again, posters, fliers etc were in abundance! The evening raised around £200 for the club which is great. The Tarot readings and nail bar were again very popular attractions. Thanks to all who helped. (Incidentally, Dynamos have their own budding Model emerging in Pat, who expertly showed off the Dynamos merchandise on the Catwalk!!!)
Junior Disco – Saturday 7th March Enjoyed by all although numbers were down on last year. Despite all the posters, fliers and emails, there were apparently still teams that did not know about the event. I am not sure what else we can do to market these events! The evening made a slight loss financially but is run as a social event so this is not too worrying. We will definitely run this event again next year.
U14B Race Night - Limited Numbers show up .. however ... We had a fantastic night ! Those that did come were prepared to spend and enjoy their night. Joe won the M&S Vouchers after a tense final with Chris Morrall. Kieran Hall won the XBOX after an even more tense final with Daniel O'rourke. The sudden death play off lasted 25 mins before finally one of them managed to stop the ball inside the rope loop. Final Count up needs to be done but we believe we raised in the region of £500.00 on the night. Huge thanks to those that donated raffle prizes or sponsored races for us. Thanks to the players of the U14B Team for their help during the night. Thanks to Simon Hunt for Running the XBOX Skill Shoot Stall, Phil Conroy for doing the entrance and to Pat Wilson for running the tuck shop. Also to My Wife Sharon, My sister Sally and my Brother in law Darren for running the TOTE all night. A really successful night, even with the limited turn out !! Regards Darren Hall U14B TEAM MANAGER
