Bishopton AFC
Bishopton AFC was formed in September 1972, by a bunch of Bishopton lads that just wanted to play football. Today the club has the same mentality, with one major change, the ambition to put the club on the map as the best team in Renfrewshire and to attract the best players in the district.
Bishopton AFC compete in the Greater Glasgow Premier League.
Home games are played at the Thistle Park in the heart of the village.
The team has had varied success over the past few years suffering relegation twice in five years and winning the league cup in 2001 and 2003. The team has battle back to the top division in season 2005/2006 where it now remains. The side finished mid-table last year and hope to progress in the up and coming season 2007/2008.
The campaign begins on 18 August 2007 away to Fernigar in the League Cup.
The club would like to thank their sponsors for the season. Their contribution towards the club is invaluable.
