The club was formed in the sumemr of 2005 on the whim of Jason Spalding. He had the idea of running a football team for his friends who were no longer playing due to events at another Blackhall Team.
Jason turned to Peter Gorton for support with this project. Peter Gorton is well known for his administration skills and organisation as wells as being a real people motivator.
After a long summer of fundraising the club entered the Hartlepoll Sunday league 2nd Division. The home ground however was deep in poolie land at Greyfields
The Old Boys finished the season a very disapointing 2nd from bottom in the league and were knocked out of cups very early.
The team acheived its aim of giving lads games and sharing games between the squad and a lot of fun was had by all
Blackhall Old Boys finished in 5th place in the 2nd division 06/07,much improved on the clubs debut season in the league. Jason has made some shrewd signings in the close season and the club harbours ambitions to improve on 5th place and push on for promotion in 07/08 season....Roll on !
After a steady 06/07 season we knew we had to aim our sights high. Our aim was to gain promotion and hopefuly pick up some silverware in the process. Our young team played some great football at times and got promoted in 2nd place despite only dropping seven points all season. Looking forward to life in division 1 where we are aiming for back to back promotions, wont be easy.
