Today we managed to get another game under our belts on a slightly frosty pitch. With erry a no show Alex Lambe volunteered to go in nets.
The first half was poor by Rangers standards although neither side created any clear cut opportunities. The pitch was slightly bobbly which made it difficult to play football on. Gregson Lane took the lead through a well executed free kick.
The second half after a stern half time team talk Rangers looked the brighter; Callum was unlucky not to get onto a through ball from Marc. It was all Rangers attacking in the second half and playing the better football. Liam levelled from a Jack corner with about fifteen minutes left, Rangers then piled on the pressure and with a couple of minutes left on the watch Liam got Rangers second after the keeper had pulled off a smart save from Mikes shot that he parried onto the cross bar Liam followed up the rebound to head home. We had to defend well for the last couple of minutes Stubbsy put in a couple of great last ditch tackles and Joe had to clear one off the line before the ref blew for full time.
A poor first half but a better performance second half secured this victory.
