Blue Eagles were knocked out of the Benevolent Cup by a well organized Yalding team, losing 6-1. Eagles controlled much of the opening 15 minutes but it was Yalding who opened the scoring against the run of play. Eagles were soon level when Andrew Whiting was fouled in the box which he stepped up and took the resulting penalty. Both teams created chances but some great goalkeeping from the Yalding keeper kept Eagles at bay. Yalding retook the lead with there second goal and soon added a third to make it 3-1 at half time. The second half started much like the first with Yalding keeper being on top form. Yalding further extended there lead with a fourth which all but ended any chance Eagles had of getting back into the game and to finish the game off Yalding scored there fifth and sixth to but the final nail in Eagles coffin.
