To those that just can’t get enough of the ‘Clubwebsite’ team pages an announcement has been made…. ‘’ A Club Website Guest Book. This feature will allow the club and teams to have their own unique guest book pages….’’ – which will be implemented in the week commencing 23rd April…. Which is helpful as our season will be finished… Wibble.

In the absence of a game this week several of us wandered up to the pub to partake in a little dinkle dangling to establish who is the grand meisters of the brain.
Needless to say it was a ridiculous result with 'Team Brian' (Jag, Brian & Ant) winning the £40 prize over around 15 other teams.
Brian, as an ironic team leader, was interviewed on Garrison FM(107fm)afterwards but whether they can broadcast his answers without a translator is still in Question....
Special mention to Jamie who, after hearing the question 'Who won this years Oxford & Cambridge boat race?' was heard to puzzle... 'Who were racing...?'

Player Profiles- mid-season report |

After much demand, player profiles will be updated in their entirety over the next few weeks..... the moon will come, go, come again and then, like magic, your computer will show new images and words.
Pictures may be altered.... depending on improved images at our disposal (or Googles disposal, anyway).
If anyone has individual suggestions for profile comments for our players get them in. Even if you are an opponent feel free to indulge us. Lets face it, we probably don't like the ones you don't like either!

**Colne Star- Abandoned game- Final Thought**
Colne Star have finally added a match report for our game with them- and it appears the time that has elapsed has clouded their judgement- link at bottom of page.
Although I wouldn't consider them a dirty side, and certainly think expelling them from the league would be extreme, it's hard to rationalise their report. They argue with the sending off of Cookie- despite Cookie admitting he deserved to be sent off after the game. They say the referee was biased- the score was 2-2 & we had a player sent off too you know. Deano's sending off could have been argued either way but taken in the context of this game, maybe 70-30 deserved. Finally, if you abuse the referee relentlessly then expect action from a strong official- we all know of referee's that would have shirked any action and slunked off meekly.
I like playing Colne Star. They are always good competition and tend to be good games. In this instance though, they seem to have disregarded any responsibility for their actions.
I think we might have them again this season(in the Osborne?) and hope this doesn't spill over into that game.

It was mooted today about the Xmas night out. A common opinion (mine) is for it to be early Jan- so, more of a New Year one, then...
Does anyone have any idea's on where to go? (or just generally any idea's?). A response would be good- from anyone.... even if you are nothing to do with the club!
Ross and Jon will be thoroughly un-involved in organisation of this one.... so it will happen.

Kieran advises, for those that didn't know, that he has recently become engaged to the lovely Bianca.
Kieran hasn't confirmed it yet (or even mentioned it, come to that) but he may even buy us all a drink if we go out in November.... or at least allow us to watch him drink a beer he purchased....

New directive for referee's... |

You are hereby advised that referee's are going to clamp-down on 'ring wearing' this season.
Apparently if you have a ring on your finger and the ring won't, annoyingly, 'come-off', then (providing the referee agree's) you can tape the offending ring up....
It may sound like a typical night out to some but to others it's divorce...
I think the general point is that your rings shouldn't be too tight....
