Goalkeeper (& Club Treasurer)
With Nayland Eagles, Fenn Wright Albion and now Huntsmans Tavern, Colin is now well into his 20th year between the posts. As last season showed, in being the joint Players Player of the Year Runner-Up, he still fully deserves the position (and to be frank, no-one else wants to play there anyway!!)
Colin is noted for his frequent but unsuccessful attempts at humour- being a stale joke champion of an unmatched prowess- but the atmosphere in the dressing room wouldn’t be the same without his happy face…..
To Sum up: So useless around his own home he would cook with Old Spice
-------- 2007---------
I wouldn’t like to say Colin is old, or even the oldest player in the team (though he is) but I’ve seen him drive 15 miles per hour on the motorway with his right turn signal on the whole time. He was holding up traffic for miles. Vultures actually started to circle his car sensing an imminent meal..….
With a sense of humour that's drier than an AA clinic Colin actually seems to be mellowing in his later sporting years. Still one of the best keepers in the league but the only one that wears incontinence pants…
Mid-season comment: Old age isn't so bad when you consider the alternative
