WOW !! What another fantastic season from the Panthers. To many highlights to list, but here are a few. Managed to finish 3rd in the league only pipped by two fantastic teams in the wildcats and Newbiggin hall, but this season showed we have closed the gap on these teams..Oct 9th Panthers 1 newbiggin hall 1(Chloe)...My two games of the season though, two fantastis games V the wildcats who we had never even taken a point off, first a league game in Febuary and a fantastic 2-2 draw,goals from Tyler and Evie G , from there it got better a cup semi-final in march and a 4-2 win never thought it would happen but every girl was fantastic that day and fully deserved the win Tyler with 3, Beth 1 and Chloe with girl of the game.
This led the girls onto their second cup final in three years, but unfortuantly Newbiggin hall were very strong on the day, but a lot can be said about our performance as Their keeper who we have got to know very well, picked up the the girl of the game..And the referee commented it was the best game of football he had watched all season....so proud !although girls you have no idea how many people have told me what great football you play.
End of season is all about fun, and Blackpool has a lot of great memories, not least from last season when we won the plate...and true to form due to a very unlucky last second 3-2 defeat in our last game we found ourselves there again, even after we clocked an 8-0 and 4-0 win on the way !!
Again you all showed how much this team means to us all, I have never seen so many sad faces when we realised it was the plate again...But hey "we said" after a while, lets go and win it again...Evie G who had been so disapointed in the last game, popped up with a 20 yard screamer in the semi-final against Battyeford A, every girl battled so hard in that game, including our keeper Georgia who ended up back at wansbeck hospital, but thankfully she Hadnt broke anything...

So another final, only problem was we were running late so we had to head straight to the pitch, where Darlington who we had beaten the previous year, were waiting after enjoying their 20 min break...
To be fair I never thought we would be beaten,but you were all so tired in the end it was good to get to full time with the scores still 0-0...very much end to end even though Darlington never threatened.
So this was new, a penalty shoot-out, this was all a blur...but we won 2-0, our stand in keeper Beth made two fantastic saves...Sam scored our first pen...Then if Alex scored we were champs again, She steps up and smashes it in the net...we all charge and pile-on..what another great feeling ...we did it agin, 2 years running plate winners...well done every single one of you....
