A delighted Mick Hawkins salutes his Reserve team after their 6-0 win.
Date: 10/09/06
A delighted Mick Hawkins speaks after seeing his Reserves team beat Friar Lane & Epworth Reserves at Church Road. He saluted his players saying, “It was an excellent performance today. The lads played really good football. Justin Burgher was `on fire`
and for me he was the `Man of the Match.` He scored a terrific goal and then I had to substitute him so I could get Ross Breeze to play some of the game. Ross played and scored two superb goals. He could have scored a third one but James Conner ensured that the goal bound shot actually crossed the line and so claimed the goal. Romi Cammock scored. Steve Moore scored with a header from a corner.”

The `spotlight` falls on Justin Burgher
Date: 05/07/06
Justin who came to Boldmere St. Michaels in August 2005 from local football has had a successful season in the youth team and now steps up to regularly play for the `Mikes` Reserves while setting his sight’s for a place in the 1st team squad.

In no time at all he has come through the ranks having played for St.George`s 2000

Despite been turned down by the `Blues`, Walsall and `Wolves` when he went for trials, he responded positively, showing his talent, by scoring 22 goals in 20 games and becoming the top scorer in the Midland Youth Floodlit League in the 2005-2006 season. He has already tasted adult football with the Reserves and slotted in 4 goals in 4 appearances.
