ABOUT THE CLUB

Bold Rangers F.C. was formed in the summer of 2006 by Ste Haggerty and Ray Heath.
Both men were regulars at the Bold Miners Club and were approached by a few local lads who were at the time playing for a team that was falling apart. Both Ste and Ray agreed after many weeks of deliberation that they would both come out of retirement from football and build a team. They put it to the committee of the Bold Miners Club and hey presto BOLD RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB was born!

Ste talked his daughter Nic into being the Treasurer and his wife Sandra into doing the cooking and kit washing.

Training started almost immediately and word soon got round about the team, over 35 players turned up at the first training session.Ste and Ray being old hands at this knew not all would stay so they started the session with one of the famous pep talks of what they expected and wanted from the players, and training began. As predicted not everyone returned for the second training session. With sponsors, hard work and plenty training sessions Bold Rangers were ready to tackle the Divison 3 in the St Helens combination.

Half way through our 2nd season Ray had to leave the club due to work commitments, so up stepped Nicola Foy to take on the roll of Secretary/Treasurer to work alongside her Dad Ste.
