The Official Opening
In May 2004, the then Mayor of Bollington John Kershaw attended the Family Fun Day for the official opening of the new facilities.
The Lord Mayor was joined by Will Spinks from the Phoenix committee, Rick Mottershead (who's father Ernie founded the club with) Sid Bennett.

Future Plans
Discussions with Macclesfield Borough Council about creating two small sided football pitches at the ATAX, in addition to the existing 11 a side pitch, have already begun. Early indications are very good, with the Council being supportive

Les Battersby !
These are the boys from each age group who raised the most money for the Phoenix project in sponsorship for the London marathon.
Bruce Jones - Les Battersby from coronation Street presented a football shirt to each boy at half-time.
