A Chinaman, a Yank and a Kiwi

The story goes that back in 1990 a Chinaman, a Yank and a Kiwi came to Bolton, England with a vision to start a football club with a difference. This unusual group of men placed an add in the Bolton Evening News and in August 1990 Ambassadors FC came into being playing and training on Moss Bank Park and plying it's trade in the Bolton Sunday League. Defeats by more than 10 goals were not unheard of in those early days but through the efforts of those pioneers a club was developing that started to impact local footballers in a way that went deeper than the mere benefits of playing amateur football. Local guys were learning how to play the game in a different way. Gone was the 'win at all costs' mentality, being replaced by a fearce determination to succeed aligned with high standards of sportsmanship and fairplay....
