Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic 'A' 1932-2007

The Club was started by two local men namely George Murphy and Willie Purvis. The Club's first big success was in 1939 when they reached the Scottish Cup Final at Easter Road playing Kilmun Thistle but sadly this was to end in defeat.Thus being the first Midlothian side to reach the Scottish Cup Final. The forties - this decade was quite good for the Club -in 1941-42-43 they were the first team to win the East of Scotland Cup three times in succession. They also won many local cups.The fifties -the Club made friends with a Club in London called London Albion. They visited London and vice-versa. They also had a tie up with a team from Rossendale in Lancashire. Local cups were still on coming.
The sixties was the greatest decade for the Club winning in 1960-61 The Scottish Cup.
In season 1961-62 they won the Lady Darling Cup. Also in 1961-62-63 they won the East of Scotland again three times in a row along with many local cups then again winning The Lady Darling Cup in 1969.
The Seventies - the Club reached the final of the Lady Darling Cup and won many of the local cups. In 1975-76 they again won The East of Scotland Cup - their main rivals then were Whitehill Welfare - great games were had between the Clubs. The next couple of decades were lean years for the Club. The Club now having picked themselves up and are now back challenging for trophies Now after 33years the club have in season 2009-2010 won the East of Scotland 21s Division 1Champions and again in 2010-11

The Club has won many of the local cups ie; Walker Cup -
Reid Cup - Howard Cup- Di-Rollo Cup - Porter Cup -Hunter Cup - McGregor Cup -Bauld Cup - Train Cup and Johnston Cup. 2009-10 Division 1 League Champions and again in 2010-11 
The club has had three Honours over the years -
Ian Richardson - President of the A.S.Y.F.C. - Chairman of the East of Scotland 21s Y.F.A. and Chairman of the S.F.A. South East Region also a member of the S. F. A. Council.
Sth East Region Volunteer of the year 2009-10
John Murphy-Vice/President of the East of Scotland Juv F.A.
Last President of the Mid&East Juv F.A. also delegate to S.S.J.F.A.;
