Although a football club for over 36 years, founded in 1971 the club Boothy's F.C only came into being in 1993.Entrepreneur Jeff Booth bought the old Mansfield Labour Club in 1993 and was approached by Victoria Hotel football club secretary John Tait. John and Jeff knew each other in the early eighties when Jeff was the landlord of the Bowl in Hand where John ran the Bowl F.C.
The first few years were poor on the field whilst a rapport was built with the club members.

A good start to pre season finishing runners up in the Forest Town summer sevens, beating teams a couple of divisions above us.
Well the season's over we lost yesterday Sunday 16th May 4-3 which cost us the league title, very disappointed with referee Robert Woods. Several poor decisions cost us the league, deliberate hand ball and pushing the ref go unpunished.
We have to accept runners up spot in a season we should have done better. But look forward to next season with promotion.
